HAPPY DISSATISFACTIONS

How have such ordinary and basic qualities become qualities that are looked up to? I have heard about the disciple who asked the master, “How come everything that is precious in the world is so rare? To his query, the Master replied, “It is actually the other way round. Because they are rare, they are considered precious”.

In the process of human evolution, unable to handle his materialistic burdens, man has lost most of his natural human tendencies, including those as simple as laughter, sleep, kindness, joy etc. they have become rare and hence, precious. So, people with these qualities are considered precious and are looked up to as rare people.

Let us be aware. Let us be happy that we are amongst the rarest of rare, for we have held on to our inherent human abilities and basic character traits, but all the same, let us not get too satisfied with them. Else, we shall become blind to higher possibilities. When we are dissatisfied with the small, we achieve the big. When we are dissatisfied with the big, we strive to achieve the bigger. When we are dissatisfied with the bigger, we work harder for the biggest.

Ordinary satisfaction cannot create extraordinary success. Let us be happily dissatisfied for that is the way to the top.
